Welcome to the HEHS National Honors Society website.

HEHS National Honors Society meets the first and second Wednesdays of each month at 7:05 am in Room in 152.

Membership in the HEHS chapter of the National Honors Society (NHS) is based on scholarship, leadership, service, and character. To be a candidate for membership a student must have a cumulative grade point average (non-weighted scale) of at least 3.0 at the end of second semester of the sophomore or junior year. The faculty council evaluates each candidate, with input from other staff members, in the remaining areas of service, leadership, and character. When the evaluation process is complete, each candidate is notified whether or not he or she has been granted membership.

Membership in the HEHS chapter of the National Honor Society requires continuous volunteering. Through this honor brings considerable responsibility, it also provides the joy and satisfaction of helping others.
